ItsMeHere ("we", "our", or "the app") is a meeting recording and AI summarization service. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your data.
1. Information We Collect
- Account information: Email address and password when you register.
- Audio recordings: Meeting audio you record through the app's microphone feature. Recordings are only captured when you explicitly start a recording session.
- Transcripts and summaries: Text generated from your audio recordings by our AI processing pipeline.
- Usage data: Basic app interaction data such as feature usage and error logs to improve the service.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Transcription: Audio recordings are sent to third-party AI services (Groq Whisper) for speech-to-text conversion.
- Summarization: Transcripts are processed by AI (Anthropic Claude) to generate meeting minutes, key points, and action items.
- Search and Q&A: Transcript embeddings are generated to enable semantic search across your meetings.
- We do not sell your personal data or recordings to third parties.
3. Microphone Permission
The app requests microphone access (android.permission.RECORD_AUDIO) solely to record meeting audio when you initiate a recording. The microphone is never accessed in the background without your knowledge. You can revoke this permission at any time through your device settings.

- Audio files are stored in encrypted object storage (S3-compatible).
- All data is transmitted over HTTPS.
- Authentication uses JWT tokens with automatic expiration.
- Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text.

Your recordings, transcripts, and summaries are retained as long as your account is active. You can delete individual meetings at any time from the app, which removes the audio file, transcript, and all associated data permanently.

- Revoke microphone or storage permissions through your device settings.

The app is not intended for use by children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
